Exploring Future AI Products concepts, Apps & Member Journeys (2026)

Exploring how AI could improve healthcare, membership, and digital customer journeys

Introduction

In 2026, AI rapidly evolved from an emerging technology into a genuine opportunity to transform digital products and customer experiences.

As user expectations shifted towards more personalised, conversational and intelligent interactions, I began independently researching and prototyping how AI-assisted experiences could improve healthcare, fitness, wellbeing and membership journeys.

Rather than treating AI as a standalone feature, these concepts explore how it can solve real user problems, reduce friction, simplify complex decisions and create more supportive, human-centred digital experiences.

The concepts focus on identifying practical opportunities where AI can improve both user outcomes and business objectives through thoughtful UX, service design, personalisation and conversion optimisation.

Areas explored

  • Complex treatment discovery
  • Membership selection and comparison
  • Long-form healthcare content
  • Intelligent search and navigation
  • Decision support
  • Personalised recommendations
  • Guided onboarding journeys
  • Operational efficiency
  • Conversational AI assistance

The aim was to explore where AI could genuinely add value by improving user experiences, supporting business goals, reducing complexity and creating more connected healthcare and wellbeing journeys through human-centred design.

My Approach

  • Explored AI-assisted UX patterns through rapid concept ideation

  • Struggle to find the right treatment
  • Feel unsure which membership suits them
  • Become overwhelmed by long-form content
  • Compare multiple options without confidence
  • Abandon journeys due to friction or complexity
  • Need reassurance before making decisions

Traditional digital journeys often rely on static navigation, generic search, and one-size-fits-all experiences.

This exploration looked at how AI-assisted experiences could help shift these journeys towards:

  • More personalised discovery
  • Smarter recommendations
  • Guided decision-making
  • Conversational support
  • Intent-driven experiences
  • Simplified content experiences
  • Stronger conversion opportunities

My Role

  • UX & product exploration
  • AI opportunity research
  • UX strategy
  • CRO thinking
  • Journey mapping
  • Interaction design
  • Conversational UX exploration
  • HTML prototyping
  • Product concept development
  • User flow exploration

AI-Assisted Gym Membership Journey (Concept)

This concept explores how AI-assisted UX and conversion optimisation (CRO) could simplify the gym membership journey by helping people choose the right plan with greater confidence.

The experience focuses on personalised recommendations, benefit-led membership comparisons, guided decision-making and reassurance throughout the sign-up process to reduce friction and improve conversion.

Traditional Journey

An evolution of the existing gym joining journey, introducing targeted UX and CRO improvements including clearer membership selection, enhanced plan comparison, simplified forms, improved start date selection, stronger payment reassurance, better mobile usability, personalised recommendations, subtle micro-interactions, AI-assisted guidance, and a more engaging confirmation experience.

Includes developer notes and AI opportunity considerations throughout the experience.

Personalised Membership Journey

A completely redesigned Nuffield Health joining journey focused on member goals rather than membership types, using personalised recommendations, enhanced onboarding, intuitive micro-interactions, clearer decision-making, stronger CRO principles, and a more premium user experience.

AI Nutrition Planner for Nuffield Health App

Explored how AI could provide personalised meal plans, nutrition guidance, hydration reminders, and recovery-focused recommendations based on individual goals, preferences, and activity levels. The concept also investigated meal photo recognition for instant nutritional analysis and healthier food suggestions, helping members make more informed decisions and build sustainable healthy habits.

The Problem

Many members know they should eat better, but struggle with:

  • Knowing what to eat
  • Creating meal plans
  • Balancing nutrition around workouts
  • Staying motivated
  • Managing recovery and energy levels
  • Adapting plans when life changes

Most nutrition apps feel generic and disconnected from actual health and fitness goals.
